Terms of Hire

We appreciate this may not be uppermost in your mind but we wish to provide you with a first class service which will ensure that the ‘look and feel’ of your event is achieved. By reading through our terms and conditions (and signing and agreeing a copy at time of ordering) we trust this will provide you with all necessary information to allow for planning of your special event. Please contact us with any additional enquiries you may have.

Hire Times

A standard order will be on hire to you for 3 days. Delivery will be the day before your event and collection the day after the event. Delivery and collection will be from a pre-agreed location with you. Any extra hire time required should be requested at the time of ordering and charges may be negotiated directly.

Delivery or Collection

You may if you wish collect the items to be hired from the address given at the time of ordering. If you would prefer delivery to be made to a given venue there will be a £25 charge for delivery within a 20 mile radius, a similar charge is made for collection. Deliveries to addresses inside the M25 corridor may attract an additional charge dependent on estimated travel time and congestion or parking charges. Outside of this radius please discuss at time of ordering.

Cancellation

In the unfortunate event that you need to cancel the following will apply

More than 30 days notice:          Full refund of deposit and breakage charges

Less than 30 days notice:           No refund of the 50% pre paid deposit will be given

Notice of cancellation must be in writing, signed by the hirer.

Payment

Crocknroll is happy to accept payment by cash or cheque.

A 50% deposit of the anticipated total hire fee is required at time of ordering. Final payment is due 30 days prior to the delivery date for your event.

A £50 refundable breakage deposit is required on confirmation of the booking. A larger deposit may be requested for large orders.

Cleaning

Cleaning of crockery and china items is charged at 20% of the value of the total hire charge. Please request this service at time of hire. It is requested that excess food and liquid be removed from tableware before the items are repacked and collected.

If you wish to clean the items hired yourself we would request that they are not placed in a dishwasher due to the vintage nature of the items. Linens should be dry and free from debris before being packed away.

Breakages

Items broken, lost or stolen will be charged as follows:

Cups, saucers and side plates           £5

Cake plates (single), dinner plates   £7

Cake stands (tiered), tea pots           £15

Sugar bowls, cream jugs                  £6

Large dishes, platters                       £25

Cutlery – per item                            £1

All replacement items will be provided by CrocknRoll

Crockery and glassware returned chipped or cracked will be charged as broken.

Table linen will be charged at £15 per tablecloth and £1-50 per napkin if stained or damaged.

Breakage and replacement charges for all other items are available on request.

Checking and signing

All items will be clean and carefully packed for delivery or collection. Re-packing for collection is the responsibility of the hirer. A signature is requested from the named hirer on delivery. It is important that you check your items carefully before signing in order that any issues may be dealt with directly.

Liability and Insurance

CrocknRoll can accept no responsibility for any damage or injury caused in connection with the goods hired. It is strongly suggested that the hirer take out suitable insurance as the hirer is responsible for all items once signed for.

All hired items remain the property of CrocknRoll at all times.
